Everyone counts differently
Finance closes the month on invoice date, sales reports on order date. Both are right. The board still sees two numbers and spends the meeting reconciling them.
Data & reporting for mid-sized and large companies across Europe
Your data isn’t the problem. Nobody trusts it. We find out why the numbers disagree, fix the foundations, and get your company back to one number everyone uses.
45 minutes, one report, a short note with our first observations. No sales deck.
| Source | Revenue |
|---|---|
| Finance ERP, invoice date | €4,820,400 |
| Sales CRM, order date | €5,106,900 |
| Operations Excel, shipped orders | €4,671,250 |
| One agreed number defined, owned, refreshed daily | €4,820,400 |
Illustrative figures. All three were “right” by their own definition.
Sound familiar?
The board meeting opens with twenty minutes on whose revenue number is the right one.
The controller is still in the office at 10 pm, matching the ERP against an Excel file.
The answer arrives a week later, with a footnote.
The person who knew how the key report refreshes leaves. Nobody else can run it.
Has its own sales report. Each shows something different, and each is “the right one”.
Someone pastes exported data into an AI chat and brings a confident answer to the meeting. Nobody can check where it came from.

Where trust breaks
Finance closes the month on invoice date, sales reports on order date. Both are right. The board still sees two numbers and spends the meeting reconciling them.
When a source system changes, nobody is responsible for fixing the report. People stop trusting it and build their own. That is shadow reporting, and today it includes AI chats run on exported data.
The data project meant to solve this is late, over budget, or live but unused. Meanwhile the workarounds keep multiplying.
Industries
Our team comes from the production floor as well as from IT. We know what a shift report, a scrap rate or tomorrow’s production plan looks like in real data.
Unit cost is known only after month-end. Downtime and scrap live in spreadsheets. ERP and MES never quite agree.
What changes: plan versus actual, cost per unit and scrap, refreshed daily from the systems you already have.
Manufacturing →Suppliers report quality, claims and on-time delivery to OEM requirements by hand. Dealer groups see sales, service and margin per vehicle split across manufacturer systems and the DMS.
What changes: one reporting layer across systems, with KPIs every team defines the same way.
Automotive →Raw material prices move weekly. Promotions eat margin nobody measures. Short shelf life turns forecast errors into write-offs.
What changes: margin per product and customer, promotion results and write-offs on one morning screen.
Food & beverage →See it working
Most dashboards show numbers. Ours open with what needs attention and why, and let you ask questions in plain English. Three working demos on generated data, one per industry.

Three weeks, a fixed price from €6,000, and a clear answer: what is wrong with your reporting, what it costs you, and what to fix first.
Short interviews with finance, sales and operations. We collect every official report and every shadow spreadsheet in use, and trace where its data comes from.
We compare how each key metric is calculated, test data quality at the source, and review who can see what.
A prioritised fix plan with effort and cost ranges, presented to your management team.
Go ahead with the fix and we credit the full Health Check fee against the project. Groups with several companies or many systems get an individual quote.

Copilot and other AI assistants answer confidently from whatever data they can reach. If revenue has three definitions, the assistant picks one and doesn’t tell you which. We put definitions, access rights and data quality in place first, so AI gives the right numbers to the right people.
The model did its job. The data foundation didn’t.
Who you work with

More than ten years in business intelligence and data engineering: data warehouses, integration pipelines and reporting, with recent years spent leading cloud data platform work.
Brought in per project, under the same standards and the same delivery lead.
Builds cloud data warehouses from source to report, with automated testing and deployment so changes reach production safely.
Connects on-premise and cloud sources to the data platform and keeps daily loads reliable.
Builds Power BI reports and data models for finance and operations teams, including access rules and data quality checks agreed with the business.
Who will work on your project? The people you talk to are the people who do the work. No hand-over from a sales team.

Show us one report you don’t fully trust. On a video call you share your screen and walk us through it. We ask where each number comes from, how it is calculated and who keeps it running.
Your data stays on your screen, and we can sign an NDA before the call. Afterwards you get a short note with our first observations. No sales deck.
